It's good to be popular. I wrote down a list of books I wanted to read on a card, but someone came in after I had finished and changed part of the titles to suggest a title I forgot. What was it?

Your list is sort of jumbled -- you have the full titles sometimes and parts that were replaced (and the correction was right; your initial guess was off.)

You only want one of these or the other. (So you won't have to make two lists, I'll spoil that of these two, you only want the parts of the real title which was replaced, not the full real title.)

If you are stuck on what to do with this list of phrases, make another (different) list of phrases; there is a clue there.

You are looking for the title of one book as your final answer.
