Some sum sod settlement (Posted on 2011-02-15) Difficulty: 3 of 5
N is a positive base ten integer satisfying:

sod(N) + sod(sod(N)) + sod(sod(sod(N))) = 2007.

where, sod(N) denotes the sum of digits of N.

Determine the minimum value of N.

Solution a lower number | Comment 2 of 4 |
N doesn't need to be a multiple of nine; it could just be a multiple of three.

For instance, sod(N) = 1977 is a lower total than suggested in the last post.

1977 + 24 + 6 = 2007

I think that makes the minimum N  699999...999, where there are 219 nine's following the 6.
