        AD
        DE

        BC
    Find the measure of angle A.

    What Nick is saying (I think) is that if you draw a line through D perpendicular to the base BC and call the intersection F, it will divide the angle BDE (=2a) into two angles: BDF = a/2 and FDE=3a/2.
