Two six sided dice are marked with 12 different integers, so that any number from 1 to 36 can be derived when both dice are thrown and the showing face-up values are added.
What is the lowest possible value of the highest number on one of the dice faces?

This seems to be the best solution (if duplicates were allowed) -- simply pick the easy solution and add from one while subtracting from the other. Clearly 18/18 has to be the best solution, as any other solution has to use a number at least 18.
What is the integers had to be positive?
