Well, just on that site, it accepts
Vegetable
noun
- A plant cultivated for an edible part, such as the root of the beet, the leaf of spinach, or the flower buds of broccoli or cauliflower.
All fruits meet this definition, so the categories can't be mutually exclusive.
It's like saying an onion is not a vegetable because it's a bulb.
