Four Four-letter words (Posted on 2012-10-03) Difficulty: 4 of 5
Her W1 took her to the command performance of "W2" ,then they dined on oysters, champagne and spare W3, but all she remembers is a beautiful operatic march and a swishing W4 of his Lamorghini's engine.

Btw: 768 18M8M2819 3T 58LL...
In the above text the 16 letters of the bold-font words (w1,w2,w3,w4) are represented by nine of the ten decimal digits - each digit for a certain letter.

Decode and solve or solve and decode:
W1=W2-W3
W4=W2+W3.

Some Thoughts Close, but no cigar (Spoiler?) | Comment 1 of 3
Any chance that BTW should be 768 18M8M2817 3T 58LL?
This would make it "She remembers it well"

I started by guessing that 8 = E,
and then that 18M8M2819 = Remembers.

This didn't quite work for me, but with a little fiddling I got to the following:

W1 = BOSS = 2977
W2 = AIDA = 4304
W3 = RIBS = 1327
W4 = WHIR = 5631

2977 = 4304 - 1327
5631 = 4304 + 1327

But this makes 768 18M8M2819 3T 58LL =
  SHE REMEMBERO IT WELL
which doesn't quite make sense

I would have been finished, I think, if only that 9 had been a 7!

Clearly, this problem wasn't easy to put together, but it was fun to almost-solve.
