A sheet of paper is in the form of a triangle ABC in which AB=3, BC=4 and CA = 5. D is a point in AB such that AD = 1
The paper is folded so that C coincides with D and the resultant crease meets BC at the point X.
Find the length of BX.

From xdog's correct "The fold forms right triangle BXD with legs BX and 2 and hypotenuse (4-BX).":
(BX)^2 + 2^2 = (4 - BX)^2 = 16 - 8BX + (BX)^2
4 = 16 - 8BX
8BX = 12
BX = 12/8 = 3/2 -- not 4/3
Good insight though on forming this right triangle.
