I thank you for your comment, especially for the 1st part of it - it should be "Proper" instead of "Capitalized" to exclude the first words of a sentence.
There is still a serious doubt whether changing an upper-case letter
into a lower-case one prior to erasing it makes any sense.
I have left one "I" within an all-lower-case text - so the puzzle is consistent, without abiding to your 2nd part.
BTW, your solution (Was it solved before or after the hints??) cannot claim to be errorless: "..Included in this copy of the passage ARE( not "is") the speakers of the lines:"...
Last, but not the least: Why don't you rate this (or other)puzzle(s)?
