Odd day occurs when three consecutive odd numbers make up a date e.g. 09/11/13 (last o.d. in a
dd/mm/yy format).
1. How many times a century does it happen?
2. What is the longest period of time between 2 successive odd days?
Just arrived back from vacation, so I'll start with an easy problem:
1) Five times per century.
01/03/05
03/05/07
05/07/09
07/09/11
09/11/13
2) The longest period of time between successive odd days is between 09/11/13 and 01/03/05 in the next century. We want to pick up the extra leap day that occurs every 400 years (in 2000 but not 1900 or 2100).
When I ask my Oracle database, it says that 09/11/1913 to 01/03/2005 is 33,293 days
