Express a given date in 2016 in the MM/DD/YY format and, determine the total number of distinct dates in 2016 such that YY*DD/MM is an integer.
Let's see if I can count them up. YY=16=2^4 so there will be a lot
MM=01 all of January =31
MM=02 all of February=29
MM=03 every 3rd day of March=10
MM=04 all of April = 30
MM=05 every 5th day of May = 6
MM=06 every 3rd day of June = 10
MM=07 every 7th day of July = 4
MM=08 all of August = 31
MM=09 every 9th day of September=3
MM=10 every 5th day of October=6
MM=11 every 11th day of November = 2
MM=12 every 3rd day of December = 10
Total = 31+29+10+30+6+10+4+31+3+6+2+10 = 172
or nearly half the year.
