The Task:
Scan from left to right a long word of your choice and extract letters , composing valid English words.

The following constraints apply:
i. The initial word contains no more than 15 letters.
ii. The selected words will be 3 letters or more.
iii. No proper names, no abbreviations.
iv. Slang words and words of foreign origin (like verbatim or sans) are allowed as long as they appear in at least one respectable dictionary.
v. Words created by adding "s" to a word already in a list are not allowed.
vi. The original long word of your choice is also discounted.

Example: if your word were procrastination the list could contain, inter alia: position, post, ion, rotation and many others.

The Challenge:
Create the longest list.

Team work (i.e. adding your words to another solver's list)
allowed and encouraged.

There is an implied constraint given with the phrase "[s]can from left to right a long word of your choice and extract letters , composing valid English words." This implied constraint would require the sub-set of words to have a letter sequence of the parent word (i.e., some letters skipped but the order intact). Following that constraint, none of the words -- reset, preset, reside, preside, resident, president, or dent -- can be formed from by extracting letters from the word 'proletarianised'. Either this constraint was not meant to be one of the constraints, or you had discovered or expected a discovery of a different word.
In my word list file there are 6017 fifteen-letter words in the list of 296,017 words of the more than 1,000,000 words that exists in the English language. As a single source of words, the 20-volume Oxford contains only about 230,000 words, and many dictionaries have a selection of words not found in another dictionary. It is quite possible that the word with the greatest number of sub-words within the given constraints may not be one of those found here. I restricted my search with the words of 15-letter length though a word or words of a lesser length might actually have a larger sub-set.
