What is the value of "?" ? (Posted on 2017-04-06) Difficulty: 4 of 5
It is a well-known fact that
eleven+two=twelve+one
is an anagram equality
and
1 + 12 = 2 + 11
may be viewed as a palindrome.

After solving two independent alphametics:
(i). two*one=pigeon
and
(ii). twelve-eleven=equal

use your head to assign a digit to the ? in this puzzle's title,
to make 027 028?9
a meaningful expression.

a. Without disclosing your solution - WHAT IS YOUR VALUE OF " ?" ?

b. I do not think that the word "rhyming" is appropriate.

c. Both the top part and the lower part relate to the numbers 1,2,11,12.

d. I agree that the 1st part is not instrumental to solve the puzzle-just a revival of some trivia.

e. You should not doubt the truthfulness of your solution once the letters and the digits comply with the two alphametics.

e. Did you like the puzzle?
