There is a certain common word in English language (say
XYZ) such that prefixing it with a letter
A creates a new word (
AXYZ) that is a plural of another valid English word.

1. Your examples do not add A, as specified.
2.'has" is not a noun.Nothing in the problem requires "has"
to be a noun. Please ignore my unjust criticism of your valid answer, **
3. "pair" is not a plural.
