Take the expression "ethiopian pandit", erase 4 letters and rearrange the rest to create an 11-letter adjective you surely know.

Posted an "official" solution, "a tip " that helped

a,i,t,p are the letter needed to be erased.

That was "a tip" that reduced the difficulty from d4 to d3 or less.
