Which of the following must be true about p(x)?
A) x−5 is a factor of p(x).
B) x−2 is a factor of p(x).

I disagree. Brian Smith gave the only possible correct answer to the question asked.
The important word is "must." D) is true of every polynomial for which p(3)=-2. The other choices are sometimes true and sometimes false.
The example x^2-11 was a perfect choice as only D) is true. It shows that the other choices are NOT always true.
