If all real numbers were to be multiplied to each other, what would be the product?
(a) Undefined
(b) Imaginary Number
(c) None of these
Since 0 is a real number, and multiplying anything by 0 is 0, the answer is 0.
If all real numbers, other than 0, were to be multiplied with each other, it seems the product would be 1.
1. Every real number R, is distinct.
2. Every real number has a unique reciprocal, 1/R.
3. R*1/R = 1; e.g. pi*1/pi = 1.
Accordingly we simply pair each real number with its reciprocal and then multiply them all out.
