Given 5 points inside a square of side 10 cm, what is the probability that
at least two of the points are within 8cm of each other?

I still do not understand. The center of the square is only 5*sqrt(2) cm from each corner. That's about 7.07 cm, which is less than 10 cm. Putting four circles around movable points in Geometer's Sketchpad doesn't give much hope for any wiggle room opening up a space.
