Partially illuminated cone (Posted on 2021-11-12) Difficulty: 4 of 5
A cone with radius 6 and height 8 is sitting on a table. A spotlight with a cylindrical beam of radius 3 is shining directly at the cone. The beam is parallel to the surface of the table and the bottom of the beam just touches the table. The cone just barely blocks the entire light beam.

What is the illuminated area?

I got a different answer by two different, but similar methods.  I don't have time to look more closely at yours right now but my answer is closer to 33.7

My "official" solution is written, so you should be able to look at it and see my graphs.
