A rainbow of haves and have-nots (Posted on 2005-01-26)

Silver has it, but Gold or Bronze have it not.
Purple has it, but Violet or Magenta have it not.
Orange has it, but Red or Yellow have it not.

What are we talking about? Can you add another color that "has it"?

It is relatively easy to find word that rhymes with: Bronze, Magenta, and Yellow.

However, it's well nigh impossible to find words to rhyme with these colors: Silver, Purple, Orange.

Accordingly, we are talking about colors for which there DOES NOT EXIST a rhyming word.

Another color that "has" this (no rhyme) property is LILAC.
