Three clocks (Posted on 2022-07-10) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A home has 3 clocks: Clock A keeps perfect time, clock B loses a minute every 24 hours and clock C gains a minute every 24 hours.

On Jan 1 2022, (midnight of Dec 31 2021) all three show the correct time.

Assuming they were to continue at the same speed, when will all of them again show the correct time at the same moment?

Clock A keeps perfect time; so it does not come into consideration.
Clock B loses a minute every 24 hours and clock C gains a minute every 24 hours.
Therefore, every day (24 hours) the time difference between the two clocks will keep on increasing by 2 minutes.
Accordingly,  the two watches will again display the same identical time when this difference will increase to 12 hours or 12*60=720 minutes.
Now, the difference of 2 minutes is reached in 1 day.
So, the difference of 720 minutes is reached on 720/2 = 360 days.
We observe that 360 days after Jan 1, 2022 (midnight of Dec 31, 2021) is December 27, 2022 (midnight of Dec 26, 2022).
-> Consequently,  all the three clocks will again display the correct time at the same moment on December  27, 2022 (midnight of December 26, 2022)
