Personality, Game, and Term Puzzle (Posted on 2022-09-11) Difficulty: 3 of 5
The name of a very famous personality in history has precisely 5 letters in the first name, and exactly 4 letters in the last.

An anagram of the letters in this person's last name spells out the name of a game and the letters in the first name can be rearranged to spell out a term used in this game.

Determine the full name of this personality. What is the name of the game and the term used in it?

I admit this is bit of a stretch but here goes.

The answer is Marco Polo.

The game polo is indeed an anagram of the last name, even if trivially so.

Marco can be rearranged to "carom", which is defined roughly is to make a play on the rebound.  Certainly, this can happen in the game of polo (the field game), but even, with more stretching, water polo.

I am not very satisfied with this answer, but it's the best I have right now.
