The last 2 lines do not fit the previous four.
What replacements (x,y) would?

I would say "T" and "T"

If you take the sums: 6,9,12,15,18,21

and write these out, and take the 5th letter (cycling, as needed, for six and nine) you get I, N, V, E, T, T.

I suspect I am wrong, since: 5 is arbitrary, and a different method that yields R, T as the answer would be more satisfying.
