f(a,b) is defined by the following table:
f(2,3)=10,
f(3,7)=28,
f(4,5)=33,
f(5,8)=61,
f(6,7)=73,
f(7,8)= ???
Fill in the last value of f(a,b), and derive its formula.

is it possible that f(2,3) is 9 instead of 10? Because there's a pretty easy formula that would produce all the other correct values, just checking if that's a red herring and I should be looking for something else.
