Remember
“Unique and restricted” ? ,b (pid=13696)
There I have asked for a restricted answer to an alphametic puzzle and got a set of many words.
Now I have fiddled with a similar equation and again will allow only answers not using any of the letters appearing in “TWELVE”.
TWELVE + TWELVE = (Oompha, grubby, payoff, droppy ….et al)
Your task is to find an answer to my puzzle such that adding the numerical values of all 6 letters in the word chosen by you (a long list of candidate solutions) will be closest to 24.
Start your chase.
Good luck!
In the below list, the lines with TWELVE, other word, sod(TWELVE), sod(other word) are each followed by an example. In each case, any word used as an answer line can be replaced by another with the same pattern. These are all the sods there are that give unique numbers, i.e., that have unique solutions.
If a line is not followed by an example, my word list merely doesn't have a word that exemplifies the given solution. But the numeric solution list is complete; no other number sets have unique patterns.
