A word with A's (Posted on 2024-04-30) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Take an 8-letter word where the 3rd and 6th letters are both A's. Remove the A's, and you will get the beginning of a familiar sequence. What is it?

Probably not it | Comment 1 of 2
I found 85 8-letter words with A's in slots 3 and 6; after removal of the two A's, nothing looked like the name of a sequence.

There is a wild form of celery called "smallage".
Removing the 3rd and 6th letters, which are both A's results in:
SML_LGE_  which looks like 'small', 'large' which is a kind of sequence.
I doubt this is the expected solution.

"Eradiate" becomes "ERDITE" which is a mineral but not a sequence.
But it begins with the same 3 letters as Erdős, and there is an Erdős sequence.
But I doubt this is the answer either.
