Function Inequalities (
Posted on 2025-03-18
)
Let f be a function defined on all real numbers such that for all x, we have f(x + 5) ≥ f(x) + 5, and f(x + 1) ≤ f(x) + 1. If f(1) = 1, find f(2025).

For integers f(x)=x; it doesn't matter what happens between integers so long as whatever happens between 1 and 2 is replicated 1 higher between 2 and 3, etc.
So f(2025) = 2025.
