Liar or not? (Posted on 2002-11-12) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A man walks up to you and says:
"Everything I say to you is a lie."

Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?

Ok, by now I think we agreed that this is a lie. But what about "I am lying (now)."?

This is also a lie, because only one lie is needed for a sentence to be a lie, while all parts of sentence must be true if it is truth.
So if someone is lying and telling the truth at the same time, I guess it is a lie.
