The letters of the alphabet can be categorized in many ways. I adapted this problem from a version with colored shapes, so there was no ambiguity. Solvers rightly pointed out ways to give different answers. Here is my intended solution:
x is the only lower case
F is the only one with no symmetry
S is the only not bolded
O is the only vowel
They all stand out in some way. That makes the odd one out
N
specifically, because it doesn't stand out!
