KISS solution (Posted on 2021-12-29) Difficulty: 1 of 5
(x+y)^2=x^3+y^3

The above is a d2 or d3 problem if one tries simulation or algebraic solution.

Now solve it d1!

Non negative integers, of course !

Solution: (Hide)
Visually analyzing the equation, no paper:
Any value over 2 makes the RHS bigger than LHS!
So only couples from set {0,1,2} shoulde be considered.
a. X=Y ( 0,0 ) and (2,2).
b. X less than Y: (0,1) and (1,2).
C. by symmetry : (1;0) and (2,1).

No other solutions!
