There are imbedded Roman Numerals in the bold faced words.
The title is an homage to an earlier problem, Fraction Frustration (pid=1549)

1) eclipse CLI = 151 is a palindrome
2) advisory DVI = 506; pelvis LV = 56 (delete the 0 from 506)
3) humming MMI = 2001 A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick
4) How can a circumcision start out like a palindrome but later include a modified 13? --> CI = 101 (a palindrome) , MCI = 1101; 1101 if interpreted in binary is decimal 13.
5) semivowel by one half and get radii? MIV = 1004, DII = 502
and 1004 * .5 = 502
