X and Y are positive integers, neither of which is divisible by 10. Their product is 100,000.

What is X + Y ?

Since the numbers are not divisible by 10, neither can have both a 5 and a 2 as factors. Yet, 100,000 = 10^5.

This equals 2^5 x 5^5, and therefore, one factor must be "all the twos", and the other factor must be "all the fives".

So, the two numbers are:
32 x 3125 = 100,000

And their sum is 3157
