If a 7kg object is thrown straight upwards at a speed of 10m/s(meters per second)

To what height will it rise? note: gravitational constant = -9.8m/s

Of course as you know the answer is 5.1m's (This is just about the same with or without air resistance)explainations are given in the comments. There are many ways of getting to this solution. Try to see how many you can come up with.

I would post full explainations but they would take up a lot of space(I tried).
