Consider the 1st two lines:
scanning from left to right we erase:
hen, wet, gain,
leaving: W shall hree meet a? In thunder... etc
Now erase: wall,she,het
and we are left with
re me etc letters that can be used
to continue (rain ?)..etc
Each word of n letters credits you with n2 points.
Apply the above procedure to the text between $$ and $$. From the total amount of your points deduct the number of letters left over.
The scanning is similar to that in my puzzle "More words from your word" but here once you use some letters you erase them from the text and you continue until it is impossible to proceed.
Then evaluate your score.
The usual restrictions re admissibility of words apply.
