I wouldn't call it a defect. There's just no good way to implement it. Any image that goes on the site needs to be edited to make sure it fits with the design. I had to play around with the image you sent me before I got it to the way it looks now, putting your original image here would not only have made it look out of place, but would have screwed up the layout as well, since it was too wide to fit on the page as it is now.
