The Desmos online calculator gives two real solutions that differ from those given by the TI-84 + CE. The graph is here.


But it's still two real solutions.

Added:

I'd trust the TI-84 more, as f(-5) = -5, so no matter how many iterations there are to -5 as the input, the f value will be -5.
