Specify the country closest to the USA without sharing a land border.
Provide the country, location and distance.
The Diomede Islands are in the Bering Strait between Alaska and the Russian Federation.
Big Diomede Island is East of Little Diomede Island, separated by about 2.5 miles.
The former belongs to the Russian Federation and the latter to the United States.
This is the closest that I know of, but I am not certain that is the closest.
