If Victor’s X-ray… (Posted on 2022-02-05) Difficulty: 3 of 5
a. Complete the title so it will help you to remember the Roman enumeration set (I V X L C D M) - either restore the original mnemonics or create one yourself.

b. Create a longest possible English word by adding an eighth letter to the above set, allowing multiple use of each letter.. Example: if E were your choice then DECIDED might be a valid option - you will probably find a better solution.

c. You are free to use the letter V as a letter U , but clearly not both.

d. Any word appearing in a respectable source is allowed.

Solution re: Puzzle Thoughts: Part (b) and part (c) | Comment 3 of 6 |
(In reply to Puzzle Thoughts: Part (b) and part (c) by K Sengupta)

Other words of the length of CIVICISMS, i.e., 9 letters in length, include DEVVELLED  (E), DIVIDIVIS  (S), and MACADAMIA  (A).
With the allowance of U representing and replacing V as the Roman numeral, there is the additional 10-letter word SIMILLIMUM, and the even longer 11-letter word SIMILLIMUMS with the letter S being the "eighth letter". The plural SIMILLIMUMS is defined as remedies most likely to restore to health.
