Couple of Words II (Posted on 2022-11-03) Difficulty: 3 of 5
(I) Determine the longest common English word you can spell by repeating:
(a) Precisely 1 letter.
(b) Precisely 2 letters.
(II) Extend (I) to include archaic/esoteric words.

Note: No proper names/slangs/acronyms/abbreviations, nor hyphenated words like A-bomb, X-ray etc.

Question Another interpretation | Comment 2 of 8 |
I think perhaps the author is looking for a word like "aftershocks", which is 11 letters long but only repeats one letter.    I think "kindnesses" would qualify for part b, because the only letters that repeat are s and n.
