How quickly can you solve the abovementioned alphametic using only p&p and a simple, non-scientific calculator?

It took me about 3 minutes.

LUNA
 UNA
  NA
   A
2022

A=3 or 8 (which carries 1 or 3)

N=3 or 7 (which carries 1 or 2, depending on A)

but U+U is even so that carry from N was 2.

U=4 or 9 (which carries 1 or 2)

N=1 (or 0 but leading zero is not allowed)

Since it only carries 1, U=4

Since it carries a 2, N=7

Since it carries a 1, A=3
