Wordle in Two (Posted on 2022-08-25) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Ashley is back again, playing Wordle. She must guess a 5-letter word. A yellow-highlighted letter is in the word, but in the wrong position. A green-highlighted letter is in the correct position. A given letter in the target can be matched only once, and preference is given to cluing the one in the correct position. The below are her opening words in nine separate games, shown with their respective highlighting. Oddly enough, each has only one remaining possibility among common words, so with enough skill she can solve each on the second try. Can you?

1. WHIFF
2. WEFTS
3. JIFFY
4. KNAVE
5. BUYER
6. HELIX
7. FJORD
8. OZONE
9. OMEGA
