I replaced (x-1) with just x. In equations 1 through 6 this just shifts everything one unit to the left. It makes things much more convenient, since the graph, which is two lines, now has them crossing at the origin. Then in the last two equations, I separated the lines and added 1 to move them back.
Solution:
x=7t/4+1
or
x=8t+1
