Recover the faulty word (Posted on 2023-06-29) Difficulty: 4 of 5
I have picked up a certain word, changed each of its consonants into a letter C and each of its vowels to V.
Then, to cause you extra excitement, introduced an error i.e. changed one of the letters (either replaced C by V or vice versa).

It is Obvious that the word is not an esoteric one and may be recovered by considering the following hint: the number 12544 will lead you to the distorted word, you will correct it to get the original one.

Enjoy!

Some Thoughts And my guess | Comment 4 of 7 |
I guess that one of the words is Obvious, based on the fact that it is capitalized.  Obvious = VCCVVVC

Looking for another 7 letter word in the problem does not work.
Neither recover nor certain nor changed nor distort is one vowel/consonant different.  The best I could come up with was Uncover = VCCVCVC.

Are the words Obvious and Uncover?  I do not see the connection to either 12544 or 12100, so I do not know which was the original and which was changed.
