Recover the faulty word (Posted on 2023-06-29) Difficulty: 4 of 5
I have picked up a certain word, changed each of its consonants into a letter C and each of its vowels to V.
Then, to cause you extra excitement, introduced an error i.e. changed one of the letters (either replaced C by V or vice versa).

It is Obvious that the word is not an esoteric one and may be recovered by considering the following hint: the number 12544 will lead you to the distorted word, you will correct it to get the original one.

Enjoy!

Hints/Tips Hint…..now D2 | Comment 6 of 7 |
Going back:  12100 is 110^2    110 binary representation is  1101110 which is either CCVCCCV or VVCVVVC , one of them with one letter “inverted” represents the structure of the word we look for..
Since I claimed that it is a common words- not an esoteric one- it is probably  somewhere in the puzzle’s text.
Now go ahead and solve the diluted puzzle.

BTW The pencil draft contained the number 110, while typing I have introduced an additional distortion 110 somehow became 112 and so 12544 walked in.
It is obvious that you will arrive to the correct solution.
