Define:
d/dx(f(x)) = f'(x)

where f'(x) = gradient (or slope) of f(x) at x = x.

Prove that:
d/dx(x^2) = 2x

without using calculus.

I came up with this in 10th grade, when we were beginning to learn calculus basics. That may give
you an idea of the sort of math employed..
