Friday the 13th (Posted on 2004-08-13) Difficulty: 4 of 5
Which day of the week (Sunday, Monday, etc.) is the probability largest to fall on the 13th of a random month, in a random year?

Or is this probability the same for each day of the week?

You should test only 400 consecutive years. In 400 years you get 303 standard years and 97 leap years, or 146,097 days. Since this number is a multiple of 7, any 400 years period has the same distribution of dates. You could test dates from 1/1/2001 to 12/31/2400, and those would be the correct totals.
