Silver has it, but Gold or Bronze have it not.
Purple has it, but Violet or Magenta have it not.
Orange has it, but Red or Yellow have it not.

What are we talking about? Can you add another color that "has it"?

Perhaps it has something to do with letters?  Silver, Purple and Orange all have Rs after vowels, but this answer seems too inelegant.

Maybe colors that "have it" don't have rhymes.  I think orange and purple don't have rhymes.  The ones that don't have it all seem to have rhymes:  gold-old, bronze-pawns, violet-eyelet, magenta-placenta, red-bed, yellow-bellow.  But silver must have a rhyme too, right?  It sounds like it should, but I can't find any in the rhyming dictionary I googled, other than quicksilver.  But then, I also didn't find any rhymes for violet in the same dictionary (other than ultraviolet and inviolet).  Does eyelet really rhyme with violet?
