Starting from the central cell of this maze (there's a (3) in it), the challenge is to find a path that leads you off the maze, and to a "star" (*).

The number at each cell shows how many steps, in a straight line, you must take. You can travel horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, up or down, left or right.

But! You must reach the first star in the direction you are travelling in an exact number of steps, and not go any further. If you reach a star, and still have some steps "left over", you cannot exit that way.

This drawing is exactily the correct diagram, and it is what it appears in my screen.

I know that the drawing may not be perfectly to someone, and I pointed this out when the problem was being voted by the JM.

Anyway, in doubt, design your own drawing starting from the first line. The whole diagram is absolutely symmetrical according to the two axes.

So, after the first line with 5 stars, digits 4,7,7 (in the second line) are below to the central three stars of the first line, with four aditionals stars at left and four at right. (look at the two bottom lines, it´s the same, only the digits are 3,3,4).

Resuming, the digits and stars align perfectly, vertically speaking.
