The given problem indicates that the digits are at least up to O in a number base system, Let the base of the said system be b.

Then, the digits of base b system are:

0,1,2,3,.....,8,9, A,B,C,......, M,N,O,.....

There are at least 25 digits, so the base b>=26

We now observe that, in base b:

The digit appearing immediately before O is N.

Consequently, the required value of x is N.
