Hearts And Spades (Posted on 2003-05-14) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Three playing cards, removed from an ordinary deck, lie face down in a horizontal row.

Immediately to the right of the King there's a Queen or two.

Immediately to the left of a Queen there's a Queen or two.

Immediately to the left of a Heart there's a Spade or two.

Immediately to the right of a Spade there's a Spade or two.

Name the three cards in order.

(In reply to My initial reaction by Hank)

Hank: I believe that you are thinking that the 'two' that I have mentioned in the problem refers to the "Two Of Spades' or something like that. Isn't it? But see carefully Hank, if it would have been so, the the statements would not have looked like what you are seeing, but they would have gone like this:
Immediately to the right of the King there's a Queen or a Two.
Immediately to the left of a Queen there's a Queen or a Two.
Immediately to the left of a Heart there's a Spade or a Two.
Immediately to the right of a Spade there's a Spade or a Two.
