The Strange Number (Posted on 2003-05-29) Difficulty: 3 of 5
What is the smallest number which leaves a remainder:
9 when divided by 10;
8 when divided by 9;
7 when divided by 8;
6 when divided by 7;
5 when divided by 6;
4 when divided by 5;
3 when divided by 4;

Some Thoughts wouldn't this be... | Comment 1 of 10
Isn't it n-1?

When n=10 => n-1 = 9 => 9 / 10 = 0 and remainder 9.
